The Cranworth Medical Team are pleased to announce that the “Thrombosis Guidelines” app produced for Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust has won 2nd place at the annual Thrombus Innovation Awards. The awards ceremony, at the Royal Society of Medicine in London featured some marvelous projects from around the country and the app was highly commended by the judging panel. Our congratulations go to University Hospital Southampton for the winning entry, “Introducing a new approach to providing patient information relating to oral anticoagulant therapy”. About the author

Chris studied pre-clinical medicine at Selwyn College, Cambridge, before completing clinical studies at the Royal Free and University College Medical School (now re-branded as UCL Medical School) in 2007. He received awards for teaching both whilst at medical school and as a junior doctor, and became interested in how technology can be used in education whilst revising for PACES in 2010. He currently works as a Clinical Research Fellow at King’s College London and is reading for a PhD in clinical pharmacology.
